About This Safari
The 4-Day Great Migration Safari is designed for travelers who want to experience the incredible wildlife of the Serengeti while maximizing their time in the heart of the migration area.
Your adventure begins in Arusha with a flight to Kogatende, in the Northern Serengeti. This region is particularly famous for the annual Great Migration and the dramatic Mara River crossings, although crossings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed. The Northern Serengeti also offers excellent year-round opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and large herds of resident wildlife.
You will spend two nights in the Kogatende area, allowing plenty of time for game drives without rushing between destinations. Your experienced safari guide will follow the movements of the wildlife and choose areas offering the best possible game-viewing opportunities.
On the third day, your safari continues from Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti, combining a scenic transfer with game viewing along the way. Central Serengeti is renowned for its open savannah plains and exceptional concentration of big cats, making it an excellent complement to the migration experience in the north.
On your final day, enjoy a morning game drive in Central Serengeti before flying back to Arusha. This itinerary combines Northern Serengeti's migration experience with Central Serengeti's year-round wildlife, making it a compact but rewarding Great Migration safari.

1 Day 1 Arusha – Fly to Kogatende – Northern Serengeti Moyo Tented Camp / Lunch, Dinner
Your safari begins in Arusha, where you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kogatende Airstrip in Northern Serengeti.
After landing, meet your private safari guide and begin your first game drive immediately. Northern Serengeti is one of the most spectacular areas of the Serengeti ecosystem and is particularly well known for the Great Migration.
Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards. If conditions are suitable, your guide will also monitor areas around the Mara River, where dramatic wildebeest crossings can occur during the migration season.
Continue with game viewing before heading to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

2 Day 2 Full-Day Great Migration Experience in Kogatende Moyo Tented Camp / Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Wake up in the heart of Northern Serengeti and prepare for a full day of wildlife exploration.
After breakfast, head out with your private guide for an extended game drive. The day will be focused on following the wildlife and migration movements in the Kogatende area.
The Northern Serengeti is famous for its seasonal concentration of wildebeest and zebra and offers excellent opportunities to observe predators following the herds. You may encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and numerous other species.
If the migration is near the Mara River and conditions allow, your guide will look for potential river-crossing activity. River crossings are a natural event and cannot be guaranteed, but the surrounding wildlife viewing can be exceptional regardless.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Serengeti before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening.

After breakfast, begin your journey from Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti.
Rather than simply driving between the two regions, today's journey becomes part of your safari experience. Your guide will take advantage of wildlife opportunities along the route, allowing you to continue game viewing as you travel south.
As you approach Central Serengeti, the landscape changes into vast open plains dotted with rocky kopjes. This area is particularly famous for its year-round populations of big cats.
Continue with an afternoon game drive around Central Serengeti before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Central Serengeti, when wildlife is often particularly active.
This final game drive provides one last opportunity to search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and other Serengeti wildlife. Your guide will select the best area based on recent wildlife sightings and your flight schedule.
After the game drive, proceed to the appropriate airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha.
Upon arrival in Arusha, your safari comes to an end.
