Parque Nacional de Mikumi

Mikumi is one of Southern Tanzania's most accessible safari parks — a place of open floodplains, hippo pools, riverine wildlife and classic savannah scenes that work especially well for shorter safari routes.

Open plains, riverlines and mountain views give Mikumi its easygoing safari character. In a relatively compact area, you can experience classic savannah wildlife, hippos, birdlife, predator country and Southern Circuit scenery without the heavier logistics of Tanzania's more remote parks.
