Is it worth combining Kenya and Tanzania in one trip?
Yes, if you have at least 8–10 days. Combining both lets you see the Masai Mara and the Serengeti in the same ecosystem, plus contrasting parks like Amboseli and Ngorongoro. With fewer days, it is usually better to focus on one country.

Can I do a safari in one day from Nairobi?
Yes. Nairobi National Park sits on the city's doorstep and works as a half-day drive, including from a layover. Amboseli and Lake Nakuru are possible as long day trips, but they involve four to five hours of driving each way.

Where can I go chimpanzee trekking?
In Tanzania, Mahale Mountains and Gombe on Lake Tanganyika are the classic destinations, with Rubondo Island as a quieter alternative. In the wider region, Kibale in Uganda and Nyungwe in Rwanda are also excellent.
